Fishing Report Sept 12, 2022 Ucluelet - Vancouver Island, BC

It is close to the end of season for us but fishing continues to be strong. We have been getting some great catches of halibut and coho at Big Bank and also there are still some Chinook coming through in close to the rocks.

Halibut limits have increased to 2 per day which saves us a trip offshore on our multi-day trips - a win for the planet and our pockets with the high fuel costs.

Its amazing to look back on the summer and enjoy  how good the Chinook fishing was in close to shore this year. I only had one trip all summer that we didn't hit a Chinook salmon within 2 minutes of setting the lines down, whether morning or afternoon. It was definitely a special year.

Below are some catches from the past couple weeks.
