Fishing Report
July 29, 2012

Halibut fishing has been much stronger this year and we are getting Halibut in multiple spots. Some are on the anchor chasing a few 30-70 lb Halibut. Mostly we are trolling or bottom bouncing as this takes less time. Long Beach has been the hottest consistently and for a bit we were getting some Chinook and Coho and Halibut all at once.

We had a some good days for larger 15-30lb Chinook and some days where we were mostly getting the 10-15lb. Small 3.5 inch spoons or needlefish hutchies are working the best as the majority of the bait is still small. There is the odd bit of bait, however it is not consistent enough to troll the large Tomic plugs yet. We had a couple good days at Portland point a day at Long Beach and another day on South Bank for the larger fish. After that it was back out to Starfish and then South west corner and one day at Big Bank.

Pictured below is some of the happy clients from the past week!
